Work begins on our 3D print lab

We are delighted at last to get started, if only in a small way, with the development work needed to create our 3D printing laboratory.

Pre-installation work was carried out today on the air conditioning system that will help provide a safe and comfortable space for our new 3D Printing Technician, Geoff Oliver, to work in. Geoff will be starting next week, with an extensive induction programme to familiarise himself with software and equipment for this exciting new service, as well as getting to know some of the people he will be working with at CUH in Maxillofacial Surgery, Radiology, Clinical Engineering and Orthopaedics.

The next stage is for the asbestos-containing flooring to be removed safely and then the main part of the refurbishment work can start in earnest.
