Exhibition of photographs for World Prematurity Day

A fabulous collection of photographs by Media Studio photographer, Jaclyn Swindell, have been exhibited in the Rosie Hospital for World Prematurity Day. Each photograph shows a child holding a framed photograph of them as a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These charming portraits will be transferred to a permanent display in NICU. Each picture tells a different story of the survival and subsequent thriving of a tiny baby.

All the patients were scheduled by Hannah Yeldham and her team to come to Media Studio to be photographed in our non-clinical photography studio. The session was booked to coincide with half term to make sure that everyone would be available. Everyone had lots of fun during the photo shoots and that comes out in the smiles and laughter in the photos.

The photographs were displayed in the Rosie Hospital on the 17th November and the patients were invited with their families to an evening party to come and celebrate World Prematurity Day. Among the patients photographed was Rio's Paralympic cyclist and Gold and Bronze medallist Louis Rolfe. Well done to everyone involved, especially all of the patients who came back to star in the photos.
