Popular video clips helping thousands of cancer patients

There's a great deal of information on the Internet for people to find out more about their illness, but it's quite hard to know what to trust.

However, some organisations stand out above the crowd as providing high-quality, accurate and well-produced information. CancerHelpUK is a website created and run by the charity, Cancer Research UK. It provides a huge amount of detailed, practical advice and information for people diagnosed with a broad range of cancer types. The site is enriched by its substantial use of multimedia, including illustrations, photographs and video.

Media Studio has produced a number of video clips for the CancerHelpUK site, showing patients what happens when they have particular procedures, such as 'having a CAT scan', or 'having chemotherapy'. As well as being made available on the CancerHelpUK website they are available to view on YouTube, so we know that they are watched by a lot of people. For example, the clip - 'Having a PET scan' - has been viewed nearly 18,000 times since it was posted nine months ago.
