2017 Institute of Medical Illustrators Awards:
Media Studio photographers and designers led the way once again in the 2017 Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) Annual Awards. The Award ceremony took place on 6th October 2017 at the IMI Conference in Nottingham.
Mark Bartley, Kim Baxter, Graham Newton, Jaclyn Swindell, Emily Wells, Grace Winn and Martha Whiffen received between them eight Bronze Awards and six Silver Awards.

The Peter Cull Medal
Also in 2017, Head of Media Studio, Jerry Nayler, was awarded the Peter Cull Medal, which is "Awarded by each IMI Chairman once during their two-year term of office to an individual, team, group, department or organisation that had made a significant lasting impact on the Institute and its members. Both members and non-members are eligible."

The 2016 Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) Annual Awards ceremony took place on Saturday 10th September in Glasgow .

These included Gold Awards for Peter Murray and Emily Wells, the Student Award for new graduate Vanessa Shepherd and the Keith Duguid Award for the best article by a new author in the Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine, which was awarded to Kim Baxter, in addition to her three Silver Awards.
BMA Awards
Our production of the film 'Having a bone scan', for the Cancer Research UK 'Cancer Help' website was Highly Commended in the 2016 BMA Patient Information Awards.
Wellcome Image Awards
Ophthalmic Imaging Team Leader, Kim Baxter, was a winner in the 2016 Wellcome Image Awards with her retinal photograph, 'blood vessels in the eye'.
